A native of southeast Kansas, Tyler is a young attorney who has advocated for and pursued a legal career dedicated to providing underserved rural communities with quality legal representation. Understanding the struggles facing rural communities, Tyler has strived to become part of the Kansas Rural Practice Initiative and practice in numerous areas of law.
Tyler attended Washburn School of Law in 2020 during the height of the pandemic and served as a member of the Rural Practice Organization to help spread awareness of the growing attorney deficit in rural areas of Kansas. While at Washburn, Tyler interned at Nodine Legal, LLC in Parsons, Kansas, where he handled numerous probate and family law matters.
After graduating from law school in December 2024, Tyler began his legal career as an associate attorney at Kluin Law Office in Chanute, Kansas, in his home county. Wanting to broaden his scope and gain more experience, Tyler joined Bateman Law in October 2024 and has since worked with numerous clients across various areas of law, including criminal, family, probate and estate planning, contract and business, and civil litigation. As of April 2025, Tyler leads our practice in our Chanute, KS office.
